I have some metadata problem (so say Adobe help staff) and the only solution seems to open image by image the link show in LRC Preferences / Ligthroom Sync tab, then download to the PC, then delete from the cloud, then import the image again

And all this process is taking AGES!!! Everytime in lightroom web I delete an image it is taking ages to show in the deleted folder, then I have to permanently delete it.

It is very annoying. Please fix this.

Can you tell us what the original problem is, what operating system you are using and your LR and LrC version numbers.

In your first sentence, are you referring to the "Sync Activity" box?

Hi Dan,

I am using LRC v9.3 and LR 3.3

My problem is that I see all my photos in the cloud, but I can't manage to get them synced back to LRC. It got stuck in 'syncing 8 photos'

After several contacts with Adobe staff (all very helpful and nice - kudos to them), the solution seems to be:

1) open LRClassic
2) Go to Preferences / Lightrom Sync
3) See 'Sync Activity' box
4) Click on each photo that are downloading to open them in the web
5) Manually download the photo
6) Delete from the cloud
7) Import back the photo to LRC

Steps 4 o 6 are taking a long long time.

"Stuck" photos in the sync process is not uncommon.  I am not an expert in this by any means but sometimes after a shut down and re start the problem self corrects but sometimes takes awhile to sort itself out.  At least that's what I experienced on the one or two occasions where I had a stuck photo.

However, if that doesn't solve the problem, and as it is only 8 photos, I'd just suck up and follow the steps outlined.  But, I'm not seeing anything in those steps that should take a painfully long time to execute unless you are have slow network speeds (step 5 and re-sync in step 7.

Another thing you may want to try - assuming your master image files are in LrC (verify that these 8 are present in your file system) is to pause syncing,  Remove the 8 images from the "All synced Photos" collection and any other synced collection they happen to be in.  Then check the cloud and if the photos are there as well, delete them from the cloud.  Back in LrC restart syncing and let it settle down to no pending sync operations.  Now add the photos back into one or more synced collections.

Let me know how you make out.

Hi Dan, as just also pointed out I just followed the steps. My internet connection is pretty great (fiber) but somehow LR Web was taking a lot of time to respond. In any case now everything is synced. But I spend like 4h in the process.

Thanks!
