in Lightroom CC, Library module, Survey mode (N): when rating the highlighted image with stars, all images selected for selection get the same rating... Survey mode is therefore useless!!! thanks for fixing this bug !

I can't replicate this in Lr CC 2015.0.1 on Win7. I only see the most selected image get a rating in Survey view. However, the bug you describe shows up in full screen mode:
Lightroom 6: Flagging or rating in Full Screen Preview incorrectly changes all selected photos

I can't replicate that behavior. My steps were -

1 - In the Library Module using Grid View, select 6 images by clicking on first, holding Shift and clicking on the last.
2 - Press N to go to Survey View. The 6 selected images are shown on the screen. The first image shows the white selection box around it.
3 - Pressing 1-5 applied star rating only to the selected image, not all 6 displayed in the Survey View.
4 - With Caps Lock on, pressing 1-5 applied star rating only to the selected image and moved the white selection box to the next image.
5 - Clicking the star icons under the images themselves or in the toolbar below main viewing panel only applied the rating to the selected image.

Can you detail the steps you took?

Btw, I'm testing this on Windows 7 & 8.1 with LR CC 2015.0.1.

I am getting a similar problem.

Firstly I have auto sync turned off.

If I replicate Tom's steps above everything works fine. But if instead of pressing 'N' I choose to open up survey mode on 2nd monitor by clicking 'Shift + N', leaving primary monitor in Grid Mode, any flags or ratings I set from the 2nd monitor get duplicated onto all selected photos as opposed to just the photo with the white border around it.

I used this workflow constantly in previous versions with no problem. I am testing this on Windows 8.1 with LR CC 2015.0.1.

Any suggestions?

In addition to the above I have another question.

When I open survey mode on the 2nd monitor why does it not show the current flag and pick status under each image as it does when working only from the primary monitor?

When surveying 16x images at a time it makes it very hard to use as after a short while I forget which images I have flagged and which ones I have not. I end up having to look back at the primary monitor which does show the flag and pick status under each image to remind myself of which images are still to be picked or rejected.

Not sure if this is a bug or a lack or forethought?
