Adobe Revel should support storing not only photos, but videos as well.

Good suggestion! Video is on the list, though we don't have a timeframe to share for it.

I've stored all my photos and videos in Adobe Photoshop Elements. I just found out that I can store all my photos into Adobe Revel. For free! That's great. But it would be really fantastic if I could store my videos here also. Is that possible in the near future?

Does Revel store HD video and allow sharing similar to the JPEGs? Does it accept TIFF files or other image formats?

thanks

I did not see anywhere that the new "Reveal" supports mp4 or .mov formats. Is that correct?

I use photoshop.com to share videoslideshows (iPhoto slideshows or shows created directly with Premier Elements) with friends etc. It is the MAJOR reason that I use photoshop products and editing tools. Do you plan on allowing video content/downloads on Revel (mv4 format)? Not doing so would be a big loss!

Would tend to agree with everyone's comments to date. Photoshop.com's ability to show a combined video/photo slideshow is one the great features and big reasons I use it. If you're going to force me to migrate to Revel *AND* take away capabilities at the same time, that's just bad customer service and will likely result in looking for other ways to share my photos and videos together.

Ok that's a great idea. So what about my videos? I take as many videos on my iphone and ipad as I do photos. What can I do to manage my videos in the same way as I manage my photos. Because honestly, just managing photos is solving half the problem.

Ok, but what about managing my videos? Helping me with my photos is only 1/2 the problem..

Have been a photoshop customer for several years and love the photoshop.com sharing service. Approximately 15 % of my stored files are wmv or video files from Premier Elements. I am concerned that Revel will not support video files in the future. Without that feature Revel becomes little more than a backup location for my jpeg files. This seems to be a very poor fit with all the video capabilities Adobe has built in to the more recent versions of Photoshop Elements and Premier Elements.
I sincerely hope that Adobe gives serious consideration to supporting video files on Revel in the very near future. I now have nearly 20,000 files on photoshop.com. Without the video storage capability Adobe would leave a loyal customer in a very difficult situation.

Thanks for the consideration. John

Hello John
Video support has been requested many times from other users. I will add your vote to our list for future this feature request. Our product team is looking into this feature.
We are listening. We realize there are some additional features that you would like to see added that don't extend too far beyond Revel, and we're working diligently to add them to the Adobe Revel experience, including adoberevel.com.

Thank you also for being a loyal Adobe customer.
Thanks
Scott

What's the time frame for video support? I have to make some decisions on where to host my videos. Thanks

Gilbert-

We are unable to discuss our roadmap prior to release. We do intend to support some additional file types moving forward but can't discuss dates.

Great news, Pattie. Is this effective now? or at a later date?

What video format(s) is supported? AND how/where do I find the version of Revel I am currently using?

You can find Revel 2.1 in the app store for iphone/ipad/itouch and upgrade. It was released this morning.

To se what version you are using, open revel, tap the 3 parallel lines in the top left corner, tap on settings, scroll to the bottom, tap about, and to the right of the log, under 'adoberevel' is the version number.

Can video only be uploaded through the iOS apps? No web or desktop support? Lightroom plug-in?

Currently Version 2.1 iOS supports video upload. Adoberevel.com can view the video but can't upload it yet. Other platforms will follow in future versions.

I think this has changed now, right? I uploaded some MOV files from adoberevel.com recently that were shot on a Canon 7D. Out of curiousity, are there any limitations on the video size?

But they often don't stream back well even when I have a very fast wi-fi connection (50 Mbit) on my iPad air and iPhone 5s.

You can see the full list of supported file types by platform here:
http://forums.adobe.com/message/58336...

The size limit on a video is 4 GB. You can upload video via adoberevel.com, iOS (only native mov files), or Win 8 tablet/computer.
