This is in response to support case #0183869568. The Adobe support team asked me to request this repair to the engineering team via this venue.

The image window containing a photo does not resize down to match the reduced photo size after cropping thereby blocking out the desktop real estate required to process and resize the next photo(s) in the batch of photos being processed. If you work on one photo at a time this is not a problem. On the other hand I have to process hundreds of photos per session and this problem really hinders productivity with numerous extra mouse actions. This problem does not occur if you reduce a photo without cropping. If there is no cropping the window holding the photo reduces in size to match the reduced size of the photo. It seems that the cropping activity prevents the window holding the the photo from reducing in size to match the reduced size of the photo. I am going to switch back to CS5 for the time being, please send the patch as soon as it is available. If you have the patch in beta I would be happy to work with you on the beta as well. Support case #0183869568 extended over a number of weeks and I do not think that I can supply any additional information over and above the details the was exchanged in the corresponence between the Adobe support persons and myself. Please review this support case and if you have any questions or require any clarification, I would be happy to help out as best I can.

It's not completely clear from your description so we'll take a look at the case notes. I'll let you know if we need more details.
