Correct me if this exists, but wouldn't it be nice to have a shortcut/click option to set your crop tool to the dimensions and px/in of the file you have open at the time? I am frequently opening files to see what the size setting are and the  I have to manually type these into the crop tool. This feature would save me time.

Have you tried setting the Crop tool Ratio pop-up menu to Front Image?  I think that's close to what you're getting at.  Although, I've always thought it would be great if this listed all open documents instead of just the Front Image.  For that matter, it would be awesome if there was a "Select File from Finder" option.

A drop down list of preset sizes would be a nice feature as well.

Lesser known trick for crop tool:
Clear the crop tool dimensions in the top tool properties
Change to any other tool
Make a selection
Change back to crop tool

Crop is now bound to your selection!

Could be used with "Select All" command to quickly select canvas, then toggle to crop tool. Voila!

@Mark:  There is a list of presets and we can save our own.  (I added a screen shot to make sure we're talking about the same thing.)

@Max:  Yes, of course!  But, you'd have to load the selection from the other image first, right?

Ah.... I forgot all about the toolbar menu preset list! Yep, that's exactly what I meant.
