suddenly I cannot reduce the size of .jpg files anymore. I need to bring my new collection online and I am desperate. usually I reduce to about 100 mb, but now when saving a file the minimum Photoshop gives is 1.1m. also when I am making a new image of 30x30 pixels in 72 dpi, it only is being saved as a huge file. anybody please help.

What file formats are you using?
Do you save or Save for Web?
Do you embed the Color Profile?

thanks for your response Christoph! I'm using .jpg and I save normal, with selecting less quality, so MB reduces. Don't know about the color profile. strange thing is I don't recall making any change.

Use Save For Web, and turn off the optional metadata.

Thanks for much for the help! I had the same issue as I could not change the jpg. file size from small to large size or vice versa successfully (as I did the export, the jpg. file is corrupt or bad.) Thanks again!
