Lightroom/Photoshop: Substitute HTML5 for Flash in web gallery templates?

I am completely committed to LR. My photo website uses the "classic" template which is Flash based. After I acquired an iPhone I ran into the problem of flash not being allowed in the Apple iOS. Now I am considering an iPad and the inability to show my galleries is really problematic. Would be great if the flash based templates were rewritten to use HTML 5 instead of flash. There are a lot of iOS devices out there, we need some changes in these templates.

Thanks

That would certainly be useful. In the meantime, have you looked at some of the third party galleries? There are many that don't use Flash, that offer some great designs which may suit you.

Victoria, thanks for the suggestion. I looked into third party several years ago but most were designed for a great deal of customization that I don't need or want to pay for. Do know of specific vendors that I should look at or is it inappropriate to be specific in this venue? I really like the look of the LR "Classic" template, however I want it to be compatible with Apple mobile products.

There's a fair selection in the exchange http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange...

Other than that, the most popular ones are:

Turning Gate http://theturninggate.net/galleries/
Tim Armes http://www.photographers-toolbox.com/... (scroll down)
Sean McCormack's done a couple too, but I can never find an index link for them

I have been wondering the same thing! Please Adobe - can't you make a gallery exactly like the default gallery that uses html5 instead of flash? I would be able to replace the galleries on my site instead of starting over from scratch. you can see the site here - http://noahsheldon.com

I'd like to be able to create Photoshop/Bridge websites like the default standard flash site look that can also be seen by ipods and ipads. Plans for html5 templates for the future? Is the one html template the only one in Photoshop CS5 that will work on ipods and ipads?

I create web galleries with Lightroom's Web Mode - Lightroom Flash Gallery option and successfully upload these to my web site - www,imagesbyalanphotography.com.

However, in trying to access these on my new iPad, I find that Apple does not recognize "flash". Is there any way around this and does this mean that flash created web sites cannot be viewed on a Mac computer?

I have been told that Adobe has shifted from developing flash to replace it with HTML5. Where does this stand?

I want Adobe to make available the Current standard Lightroom Flash based Web templates in a HTML 5 or Ipad friendly version. I like the templates, and do not want to change them in any way, I just want them to be able to work with all devices.

Please include HTML5/CSS slideshows for the Output Module—oh, and make the output module work.

Bridge: HTML5 output modules.

I'm looking for HTML5 output modules. When will Adobe release updates?
It seems ludicrous that the included output modules are only offered as HTML or FLASH, right?
