Camera Raw: Strange behaviour with crop tool

Whenever I use the crop tool in Camera Raw (and my job makes it so that I have to use it a LOT), I get frustrated by the fact that after I have adjusted the crop for the image and hit enter, the crop tool dismisses itself and instead of going back to my Hand Tool, it switches to the Zoom Tool for no obvious reason.

Since I cannot advance to the next image with my arrow key on the keyboard with the zoom tool in place (for whatever reason), I have to hit H on the keyboard and then hit the right arrow to go to the next image.

This is very annoying for me since it takes me a second longer on each photo everytime I'm editing.

Try pressing the "C" key after you finished with your crop. It will go back to the Hand tool (or whatever tool was active prior to selecting the crop).

Isn't C for Compare? Or did you mean R?

I cannot reproduce it. Whether I start cropping from 1:1 or Fit zoom, pressing Enter returns to previous mode and allows me to use arrow keys to move to next image.

Btw, if just want to go cropping through multiple images, you can use Ctrl+arrows to move between images without leaving Crop mode.

Hi Dorin,

You are probably thinking of Lightroom. Note that this thread is about the ACR plug-in (i.e., Camera Raw).
