Photoshop: Stops responding when Saving for Web to a server

I use the latest version of Photoshop CC, and i have massive issues with photoshop not responding for different reasons. One issue being using the save for web and devices function, mainly when i want to save a small image (700x400px) directly to a external server im connected to. After force quitting photoshop and relaunching it, i tried saving the same image yet again, and this time it crashed even before the save for web and devices panel even opened.

I dont know what the issue is, but there is a HUGE issue with this function, atleast on my 2017 macbook pro. Ive been in touch with adobe tech support, they have deleted files on my computer and i reinstalled photoshop an hour ago and i still have these issues.

I also have issues with Photoshop CC just hanging on my MacBook Pro - in my case, it is when I use Select and Mask - it doesn't always hang, but it frequently does so and all I can do is force quit and then restart Photoshop and try again.
I will try save for web and see if I get that saving to a local external server.

Does Save For Web hang when saving locally to your desktop? https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/networks-removable-media-photoshop.html

Not that i recall, but photoshop did stop responding at one point before the save for web and device panel even opened.

It would be good to know if everything is working locally. If it's just when working with the server, you have to start looking at how the server is configured.

As far as i can tell its only when i save directly to the server. I just cant understand how the server can cause the program to stop responding.

Check out the troubleshooting document. Saving to servers can be extremely complicated based on a ton of configuration types.
