I've had this happen several different time but only after working in 3d. This time I was working on "Cory barkers, down and dirty tricks True text beveling and reflections" in the October issue of Photoshop user magazine. I always click File save before I hit the X in the upper right corner to close Photoshop. When my session is open and using 3d I get a windows after closing PS that states, "Photoshop as stopped working, checking for solution" then the usual, "windows will inform you if/when a solution is found." below is the error info:

Unfortunately, without a full CAB file to investigate, we don't know -- it could be almost anything. The good news is that we'll get the CAB file from Microsoft in a few days and can investigate.

We have seen crash on quit bugs before due to third party plugins (especially automation plugins), and some hardware drivers (especially print, scanner, and sometimes video card).

Chris, Thank you for responding. FWIW I have all of the latest drivers installed and no plugins in PS other than what came with it. fortunately to date the crash isn't hurting anything other than beiing there as it only occurs when you close the app after working in 3d.

If I can be of any assistance please let me know
