Why doesn't Photoshop CC use a static and scaled back version of Cinema 4D to replace its 3D features that concentrates on modeling, sculpting, surfacing and painting, and also something that is totally compatible with After Effects' Cinema 4D features? It would make things easier.

I wrote an article involving 3D in Photoshop, and I wouldn't have treated the C4D Lite option as peripherally if there were a direct link between it and Photoshop. The current need to bounce through After Effects is awkward.

I don't want Adobe to replace the current 3D support in Photoshop with C4D Lite. There are several distinct advantages to it, some of which show up in the article. (2D mask on a 3D layer, Photoshop texture painting as an alternative to BodyPaint, etc.)

I just want the ability to easily bounce between Photoshop and C4D.
