I have elements 7 which has worked fine for years. You are now pushing elements 11 with a moving ad which appears when I open up. My computer then hangs and has to be shut down. On rebooting the normal start screen comes up and I have no bother.I am fed up with this recent intrusion and wish it to stop immediately.

Moving ad? What are you referring to?

Have you scanned your system for malware?

Hi Chris my computer is scanned regularly using AVG. The advert looks like a bona fide flyer advertising elements eleven and inviting purchase. This shows at the first stage of opening photoshop where the organize/edit/create/share options show. The fixed picture displayed normally is titled "Give tourists the brush off"
What occasionally displays instead of this is the announcement about elements 11 with a colourful slow moving background of balloons, I think., filling the whole picture area of the above usual picture. At this point the cursor shows an hourglass and everything hangs; nothing further can be done on the computer until it is shut down and restarted. It is so frustrating!
I have no other software problems on the machine.

I have never seen that.
I'll have to wait for the Elements folks to come by and see if they know what you're seeing.

Chris have you come up with a solution yet? Whenever I want to use elements the computer hangs with this unwanted animated intrusion offerin " New vision, new look, new ways to amaze. Its here photoshop elements 11" There is then an invitation to upgrade or try. But as the whole thing hangs it is a frustrating waste of time. I have to shut down the computer and fire up elements as first port of call to avoid the advert. Please get your colleagues to advise asap.

I don't work on Elements, so I still have no idea what you're referring to -- we need someone from the Elements team to help you.
