Standalone Lightroom 6 App (2015) NO longer works after a trail version of LRClassic was tried and expired. Classic went away and shut down my app. Can only open in LIBRARY, not able to do anything else.  My account no longer acknowledges the App on the page.  My images are being held hostage.  HELP Please
note: I am also running a web based (monthy $) A. Photoshop Lightroom that only includes LR & 1 TB of cloud space (no photoshop).

If you’re only seeing the library module, it may be possible that LR Classic (the trial)is still launching. What you need to do is uninstall LR Classic and reinstall the standalone version. This is also hoping that you would have a backed up copy of your Catalog from LR 6 because LR Classic may have upgraded your catalog. I hope it all works out.

"reinstall the standalone version”  I probably did a online download in 2015. My application folder appears to have <Adobe Lightroom [1106920], Applications/Adobe Lightroom>   It should be able to start with that?

I have tried to fix this problem using the website+ above, SPENT HOURS, with NO positive results.  I can only get LR6 standalone to open using CC and then it is limited to Library only...not able to use the program! I am Totally frustrated..  HELP needed.

Would signing up for Classic again for 1 month enable me to move my files over to CC and try to reinstall LR 6?  HELP

Sandra, can you please go to Help menu > System Info and grab us the first few lines. We particularly need to see the Lightroom version number, licensing and the OS version.
