Stamp tool does not show source

I am using Photoshop CC, version 19.1.4, on an iMac running 10.12.6. Not sure when this behavior started happening, maybe when I upgraded Photoshop CC a version or two ago, but now, I cannot see the clone source when using stamp tool. I have Show Overly checked in in Clone Source panel, but I still do not see source except when selecting it initially.
This happens when I am using my Wacom Intuos Pro M with a pen, or the regular Apple wireless mouse. I even unplugged tablet, but still cannot get source to show up. I have restarted computer and Photoshop numerous times, but this problem remains. Any suggestions?

It's running fine here on my Macs with El Cap and HS.  There are so many possibilities when things like this get flaky. Have you tried resetting the tool (top left Options bar flyout menu), just in case something weird happened there? It's odd that it works momentarily, but then disappears from view.

Plus, if you've upgraded a couple of times without deleting your preferences, that's also a likely cause. If you haven't deleted them and are going to, be sure to remember to save any presets that you haven't already saved to disk so they don't get deleted with the rest of your settings.
Since the problem persists even after unplugging your Wacom,  I don't see how those drivers could be involved. Try the other 2 suggestions, and if that doesn't fix things, let us know  and somebody from Adobe may be better able to help you troubleshoot further.

Strangely, just after I posted this, Photoshop suddenly started to display the clone source after months & months of not doing it. Makes no sense, but if it disappears again, I will try teh suggestions above.  Thanks.
