In windows programs the F7 key launches spell check. we have this written into some of our actions, However this conflicts with F7 which turns the layers pallette on and off. Would it be possible to have spell check begin at the top layer of a PSD unless otherwise specified?

Hiya John,

Spell checks are designed to start on the layer that's currently selected.  Currently, we move up the stack of layers, though I have a bug in suggesting we should move down instead.

Hope that helps,
Thanks,
David

Thank you. But we would like the F7 issue looked at. Because for most who use Windows we're already oriented to press F7 to check spelling.

Hi John, you should be able to override the shortcut in the Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts... dialog.
