Neither Lightroom Classic nor Photoshop CC recognise "are" files produced for my A7R3 using pixel shift.  I can only edit these files using the new Sony Edit program which is completely inferior to Adobe products.  I therefor request the Adobe provide support for these files.

Rawtherapee has a development version they are testing. Results look like their results for Pentax pixel shift.

Thanks for bringing that to our attention, David. I'm changing your post to and idea so it gets logged as a feature request.

Yes, adding the ability to edit Sony ARQ files with pixel shift from the A7rIII would be amazing.  Or add functionality in Lightroom to recognize and merge Sony ARW files shot in pixel shift mode into ARQ files, or even DNG if ARQ is a proprietary file type.  Sony's editing software leaves a lot to be desired, so handling the whole process in Lightroom would be even better.  A similar interface/functionality to the HDR dialog in Lightroom seems it would be more than sufficient to handle this task.  FYI, you're going to get a lot of former Canon shooters (like myself) asking for more support on Sony cameras.
