The Sony 24-105's profile is bad. I shoot architecture and although this might not be the go to lens I cannot get the lines straight. I tried 2 copies of the lens and it is off.

Does it have regular barrel or pincushion distortion, or is it mustache distortion?

Some examples would help the Camera Raw team understand what you are seeing. Can you provide some samples?

Thanks Victoria,

I am sending an image.
Basically, it happens at all focal lengths but it's most obvious at the wide end of the lens. Adding around -3  on the manual distortion in LR brings it in the ballpark, but it is still off.
If my other lenses a off a bit it is always fixable, except this one.

In the wetransfer will be a raw file and a screenshot to show how severe it is off.
if this is not sufficient I will go out and shoot at all focal lengths.

thanks,
Mark

btw, there used to be a tool where people posted profiles. I cannot find that any more. And maybe there's a way to make a lens profile myself?

Cheers,
Mark

Thanks Mark, I've bounced it on to Rikk.

The tool you're referring to was the Lens Profile Downloader. That's no longer in existence, but the Profile Creator is still available from https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/digital-negative.html

I've forwarded the info onto Chris on the Camera Raw team for evaluation.
