I have Photoshop CC 14.2. When I try to use pattern fill with scripted patterns checked, the options picture frame & tree are not selectable (translucent). How can I access these options? I have an iMac OS 10.9.1

Hi Howard, update to 14.2.1: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/?p=... Let me know if you're still having issues after the update.

Jeff,
I upgraded and still frame & tree are not selectable.

After reading some other comments, I think it may be because my iMac has only 256 MB VCRAM. I also cannot access the 3D options. Is my only recourse to get more VRAM?

The minimum amount of VRAM for 3D is 512mb. Not sure about Tree. I'll check on this for you.
