Some application components are missing from CS6 on my iMac. How do I uninstall CS6 so that I can re-install it again?

Parts of PS were lost on my computer. I need to re-install CS6 on my iMac. I know that I need to uninstall it first, but want to be able to re-install. I know there is a certain way to do this, but can't remember. Because my CS6 was downloaded, how do I go about doing this and finding my serial number, etc? I feel terrible.

Run the uninstaller in the Photoshop application folder.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your quick reply. But isn't there a special way to uninstall, so that Adobe will allow me to re-install? This copy is on a second computer.

By the way, I received a pop-up window from PS that said the following, "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, please re-install the application."

One other item, will I need my serial number from my downloaded copy to re-install?

Thanks,

Bob

Yes, and the safest way is using the uninstaller inside the Photoshop application folder.

If you don't deactivate, then you shouldn't need your serial number again.

But don't forget to also reinstall the updates.
