Some folders in my external drive appear as missing (with the question mark) when I plug it to my Mac. Trying to locate the images doesn't work as it says there are images in the catalog linked already to those images! The only way to fix it, so all folders appear OK is closing LR and relaunching LR.

The missing folders are not always the same.

Can you describe a little bit more concrete as what you are seeing? Are you on Windows or Mac? Are the folders missing from the Folders panel in the library module? Or from the Import dialog? How many visible folders that you have at any given time?

I'm in Mac using Lightroom CC updated to latest version. They are missing from the Folder Panel in the library module, and by "missing" I mean they appear with a question mark (like when you have deleted a folder outside Lr and it can't find it) but they exist because I can see them on Finder.

Right click on the folder to locate it doesn't work.

So I close LR and relaunch it (leaving the external drive connected) and then all folders are OK and I can edit the photos inside them, export them etc.

It just happened again. Here two screenshots showing the bug on the Folder Panel and then fixed after relaunching Lightroom.
