I have spent a lot of time uncollapsing keywords in my keyword hierarchy over the past months. I would like to see the solo mode that we all love so much introduced to the keyword list.

Can you say more about what you mean about "solo mode" for the Keyword List? There may already be mechanisms in LR to accomplish most or all of what you want.

I mean when you expand one parent keyword in the keyword list panel in the library module, all other expanded parent keywords collapse, in the same way that solo mode works for the panels.
I can't find any such option in preferences, though if it were a possibilty I think it would be more intuitive to enable it via right-clicking a keyword, by analogy with solo mode for panels

Got it, makes sense.

There are a couple of undocumented existing mechanisms for managing large hierarchies that might help you in lieu of a solo mode.

1. Alt/Option-click on the expand/collapse arrow to the left of a keyword will expand or collapse the entire hierarchy underneath the keyword.

2. You can limit the display of the hierarchy to just one part of the hierarchy by clicking the down-arrow on the left side of the Filter Keywords box and selecting Show All Keywords Inside Matches. Now, if you want to show just the hierarchy for just one parent, type it into the Filter Keywords box and just the hierarchy under that keyword will be displayed.
