LIGHTROOM: Snapshot to Virtual Copy

Well, I am well aware of the differents between snapshots and virtual copies and I am using both methods in my workflow. Snapshots are great to save my different presets of a picture, while I find it a lot more comfortable to use VC's for final exporting.

Problem with VC's is, that they are saved in the catalog and not in the file, so since I am often working with differen catalogs on the same pictures (at home and at work f.e.) I don't have my VC's from the one catalog in the other.

So my idea is, since the snapshots are always with my raw-files, I would like to have a simple function:
Snapshot to Virtual Copy!!

So I just have to right click on a snapshot and can choose sth like "make a virtual copy of the image with this snapshot preferences"

In addition to Lee Jay's suggestion (SnapToCopy plugin is what I use too) -

in case you aren't aware: you can export virtual copies from a catalog to read into another (thus solving the problem of vc's not being in xmp). I understand it's an extra step etc., but in case you weren't aware...
