PHOTOSHOP: Smart guides should show size of targeted layer

I love the new smart guides in Photoshop CC (where you can hold Command while on the Move tool to see distances to layers you mouse over). But to see the size of the currently targeted layer, I still have to enter Free Transform mode and look at the Info panel. My suggestion:

1. Select the Move tool.
2. Target a layer.
3. Hold the Command key (Ctrl on Windows) and mouse over other layers to show their distances to the targeted layer (this is how it works now).
4. While holding Command, mouse over the currently targeted layer to see its size.

Additionally/alternatively, the Info panel should show the size of the currently targeted layer without having to enter Free Transform mode.

The reason I would like this feature is that I'm a developer, and I often need to extract measurements from PSDs that designers have given me. Smart Guides are great for finding out the distances between layers, but I want an easy way to see the size of layers as well.
