Smart Colors - Global Color Swatches

Currently as of Photoshop CC 2015.1 there is no support for any form of "Smart Color". What I mean by this is there is no way to change colors of multiple layers at a time, or colors within smart objects, etc. without manually doing it.

What I would like to see is a way in the color picker to link a color to a color swatch, a "Smart Swatch", or something of the sort, so that way any property using that color swatch, were I to change the swatch, would affect all the objects with that color property.

I am a UI Designer and it is currently very tedious if a client decides to change a logo color, or a color that is used through out the entire UI as a highlight, etc. Colors on layers within smart objects, or cloud objects using the linked cloud swatch would be very useful as well. Perhaps there could be a cloud swatch and a local "smart swatch" as well.

This is something that I am sure has been asked before but it seems like an essential missing feature that I'm sure every user would benefit from.
