Photoshop/Bridge: Slow shutdown

The only problem I've noticed with PS and bridge is the latest updates are slow to start/shutdown. This is especially prevalent in bridge. It used to start up within 20 seconds, now it's roughly a minute or more. PS has the opposite problem and takes awhile shutting down. In fact I just bought a new workhorse machine, more ram, cpu and video card iand it's the same, so it's not a hardware issue

Slow shutdown in PS too since 2017, maybe the 2017.1 update specifically? Normally this wouldn't bother me but the possible reasons for why it's happening do bother me. Probably trying to send a collection of data logging files, gather or send all kinds of metrics, or anything else along these lines.

Haven't noticed any difference in Bridge though and rarely use one without the other. Maybe have a look at the BridgeConfig.xml and what all it's trying to collect and send. Look over the Debug and Trace Database files for Bridge, Photoshop and dynamiclinkmediaserver and edit them accordingly.
