Slow processing ORF files

I have been shooting Canon (7D) for many years and processing them in LR Classic. The last few days I have been trying out an Olympus OM-D M1 MKII. The processing of the ORF files from the Olympus camera seems slower than the Canon files (CR2)..

The ORF files are 20MP, while the CR2 are 11MP (mb size is about the same)

In the library module the ORF files take extra time even to load the embedded preview, which never happens with the CR2 files.

Is the time lag due to the difference in mega pixels? Or is there something else at play?

I think this might be because of the lens correction data which comes with the MFT Raw files. What I noticed on Windows is that I have to restart Lightroom from time to time, otherwise it slows down even more.

Thanks Jochen. The lens correction data could be an issue. I had thought I had that being done on import, but I did notice at times with the Canon it didn't seem to take until I was in the Develop (?) module.

Although I have noticed the "loading" line showing up after I did the processing in the DEVELOP module on the ORF files
