Lightroom: Slideshow will not preview or play (Windows XP)

I cannot get the slideshow to play or preview. All that happens is a black screen.

Hi Jim. Can you tell us a little more about your system specs and Lightroom version? Also, have you updated your graphics card driver recently - from the manufacturer's website, which tends to be more up to date than Windows Update.

Updating my video drivers seems to have solved the problem.
