The title and ending page design capabilities in Lightroom3 are so limited that it provides a strong negative in preparing a slide show

Can you give us more details? Perhaps provide some ideas as to what you would like to see?

The user is essentially limited to one line of text in a slideshow lead or ending page using Lightroom3. I wanted to add six lines of text to a closing page, which I was unable to do. Any suggestions?

Larry, my suggestion would be to use a dedicated slideshow program. LR's slideshow module is very limited -- you cannot use more than one audio source, no text overlays that can be scheduled, the images are not even properly sharpened.

N.B. your post should have been made as a feature request. Strictly speaking you are not reporting a bug.

Thanks TK. Larry, I've switched this to a feature request - don't worry it's just a technicality so that it gets tracked correctly.

Any suggestions as to a dedicated slideshow program that would also accept imbedded music and be compatible to using images from Lightroom?
