Slideshow are not sharp !

Workaround is :

Export images with "sharpness for screen" setting at screen resolution and then import those jpeg and play slideshow with those images rather than original RAW...

It's a pity and specially visible with Retina Display on latest MacBookPro...

Try turning off stroke/borders when you create a slideshow ... it's a known bug on Mac ...

Thanks but it has no effect, I don't generate a pdf slideshow, I use direct slideshow into LR4.2 (fullscreen) and image is soft...

I don't quite understand: do you report a bug (inappropriate preview used in slideshow) or request a feature (screen sharpening in slideshow module)?

Does the slideshow look less sharp than previews in Loupe or Develop?

IMO slideshow directly running in LR should run fine and give sharp pictures so it should be reported as a bug. However it was the same in LR3 and LR4 so I am trying LR4.2 RC and it can't be reported as a bug related to the LR4.2 but something like a feature request in LR4.2 to fix a native LR bug :-)

I believe most users expect slideshow to run at a "normal" screen sharpness.
Of course Retina display show more critically this troubleshoot...

I believe this is a feature request. I would really like it too. It seems backwards that you have to go out of your way (export with sharpening, re-import, make slide-show) if you want nice crisp images in your slideshow.

... and ... keep in mind if you are running the slideshow directly in Lr itself ... Lightroom is not yet optimized for the Retina display in the MBPr ...
