Well this may be the final straw. While you add features that I almost never use, now you folks are removing the most basic control of  slideshows. What justification can you give for REMOVING features? Making slideshows used to be quite simple and the slide show maker previously, while boring, was adequate. But now? It basically sucks. Now you have to go into Premiere and do the whole thing BY HAND what used to be a somewhat automatic process.

Please bring back what you had - at least, and if PS 16 does not have significant improvements in the slideshow creations, you can say goodbye to me as a customer.

I have a copy of Magix Video Pro. They do a great job of slideshow creation - many transitions, movements, etc all applied AUTOMATICALLY with a wizard. A little tweaking and you have a very impressive slide show - not a boring fade in and out that PSE 15 generated for me, that I can't edit!!!!

Hi there Ed,

Good rant Ed.  Here's a slideshow maker and it's free.   Free is good.   https://free-slideshow-maker.en.softonic.com/  Softonic.com is a good website.   It's been around since 1999.   BTW, everyone likes the fade-in and fade-out.   It makes it look professional.   Now you won't need to complain about your Photoshop-Premier anymore.   See ya.

Give em Hell Ed!!!!  Of all the complaints I have heard about PSE, yours has got to be at the top of the list.  I never used the feature but there were a whole lot of folks who did and I really wonder why they would have made this tool so miserable.  I doubt if they will ever fix it but Seve Leham gives you a really good free option.  I often have to use several programs to get basic things done, I still like PSE because it is the best option out there, it is not a subscription, and with a few second party plugins can run almost as good as PS.  I upgrade every other year.

Thanks for your post, you speak the truth for many!!!!
