LIGHTROOM 6 - Sliders don't work properly on MacOS

Recently I have been having problems with making slider adjustments. If I make a small adjustment with a slider by clicking a short distance away (e.g. around 0.5-0.7 for the exposure slider), the slider moves where I click but the value shown in the box stays the same and the effect is not applied to the image. In this way I can move the slider a long way in short increments without it making a difference. Whereas if I had made moved the slider in one step it would have worked properly. Thus I often find myself needing to type the value in the box.
Similarly if the slider is a short distance from the centre/default, double clicking on it does not restore it to it's default value.
Clicking and dragging works normally, even for small adjustments.
I am using a Mac with the latest OS X and Lightroom CC (2015)
