Slider lag on Lightroom CC Classic

I've noticed the lag when you click on a slider in lightroom is larger than when doing the same in photoshop, or other photo editing apps.  It seems to be hit and miss when I click on a slider as to whether I manage to pick it up, and then it seems to stick for a bit before it moves. Once moving it's fine... it's just getting off the starting blocks. 

I'm using an Eve V Win 10 tablet with pen (not a wacom tablet).  I've turned off flicks, and press & hold for right clicking.

Do you feel that the lag is specific about Lightroom Classic?
Was it better in previous versions of Lightroom?

I don't think it was any better in previous versions of Lightroom.  Playing with it again this morning, I'm beginning to think it isn't so much a lag, but more of a challenge hitting the spot required to pick up the slider control.

I just tried Lightroom CC (not classic) and the sliders there are a bit easier to capture.
