Say you have applied three gradient filters. It would be nice to have a slider to be able to decrease the effect of the aggregate from 100% down to zero. This would let you tone things down evenly if you've gone overboard.

Clic sur le petit triangle en haut à droite de la boite de dialogue.... Les curseurs seront remplacés par un curseur agissant sur la densité de l'effet appliqué.

Click on the small triangle at the top right of the dialog .... The sliders will be replaced by a slider acting on the density of the applied effect.

Yves, I may have been unclear - I want a slider to be able to work on all layers of any one effect.

Well, it does not seem too necessary, since it is about local retouches .... And it seems difficult to justify me if degraded, brush, ellipses ....

Yves, I cede your point on brushes and elipses - and I might slowly cede it on gradient filters. The situation that prompted me is that I was turning the switch on and off for gradient filters, and liked both views equally, which prompted me to think "It would be nice to see what's in the middle"
