Lightroom 5: Size issues exporting images on Windows 8

Hi, I am having sizing issues when I am exporting images out of Lightroom. For instance, I am trying to update my facebook business page cover photo and profile photo, so I am sizing to the recommended width/height pixels, but after I click export and open the file from where I saved it, the width of the photo is always chopped in half if not more. I cannot for the life of me figure this out. Please please help!

Have you installed all the LightRoom 5 updates? You should be on version 5.7, I think.

We'll need more information. Have you cropped the photo to the correct (long thin) ratio in the develop module? What size settings are you setting on export?
