Since OSX 10.11 El Capitan upgrade the export (command shift E) key combination does not work in Lightroom 4 or 5. No beep or other action occurs. Nothing happens. Will you have an upgrade/fix soon? Thank you in advance. My work www.aryenhart.com

Does export work if you invoke it with the File > Export menu command?

yes, with file>export I can. I need shortcut. Can I make an action/preset to automate bracketing down and up an image in 5 whole exposure steps?

Some others have reported problems with keyboard shortcuts on El Capitan: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh.... I wonder if that's affecting you too. You could try using Mac's built-in keyboard shortcut mechanism to define Cmd+Shift+E to be the shortcut for "Export...". See here for detailed instructions: https://discussions.apple.com/message.... When defining the shortcut, be sure to type the menu command exactly: "Export..." (with three dots).

That's too bad. You could try deleting LR's preferences, which often fixes things when LR's user interface goes wonky: http://www.lightroomforums.net/showth.... But you said this happens to both LR 4 and 5, so it's unlikely it's the preferences.

Reset LR 4/5 prefs, checked OSX keyboard prefs, turned off BT external keyboard. Still negative

Adobe stops maintaining older versions when a new one comes out (they're on LR 6 / CC 2015), so the only thing I can suggest is try the free trial for LR 6 / CC 2015. But that itself is problematic, given that the latest release, CC 2015.2.1 / 6.2.1, is so buggy that even Adobe itself is recommending users roll back to 2015.1.1 / 6.1.1 if they encounter problems. You can download and install CC 2015.0 first from here: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/.... If that works for you and you decide to upgrade to 2015/6, you could then manually download the update to 2015.1.1 / 6.1.1, rather than let the Adobe updater try to update you to 2015.2.1 / 6.2.1.

Running LR5 trial version, dumped plists for both LR4/5. Unable to perform system cache flush by terminal command :
defaults delete com.adobe.Lightroom4

as osx states: Domain (com.adobe.Lightroom4) not found.
Defaults have not been changed.

Other users have Capitan Export shortcut issues?

Yup, see my previous post: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh.... Both LR 5 and 6 have Cmd+F been appropriated by El Capitan -- it could be Apple's "fault", or it could be Adobe's "fault" for not properly using the OS X APIs -- who knows, but the problem exists.

Saw the thread, no mention of Export command.
Any idea before Adobe updates?

I don't know. I'm sure Adobe is scrambling to get 2015.3 out to fix the huge mess created by 2015.2, but Adobe generally doesn't give any public indication of "when".

Thank you John for your lengthy support. I appreciate it very much.I
somehow doubt that LR6 will work in Capitan. Will wait for a patch. As I am not too skilled in PS or LR, do you know if I can create an LR or PS action to bracket down and up and image in the 5 full exposure steps LR allows? Automating 10 exposure changes would help me a lot...

I think you should be able to do it with PS, but I'm not an expert in PS actions.

Maybe someone else will read this thread and know how to do it.
