Can you add "Show Photos in Sub Folders" to the contextual menu of the folders in the Folder panel?

Just to clarify, do you want it there for convenience or because you want the preference to be applied per folder?

I actually have wanted this from the very beginning, and I wanted it as a UI element, not just a contextual menu. And, yes, I want it per-folder. Think about a long folder list. The way it is now, you might have to actually scroll up to the top to activate it, and when you do it activates it for the entire tree, which changes the counts, which can cause a performance issue while the counts are being populated.

Initially I was thinking convenience but a per folder option would also be quite useful at times now that you mention it.

Split the difference: The Main one in the Library menu applies to ALL as it does now. The contextual one applies to the specific folder selected.

FWIW, the reason I asked is that per-folder application could be problematic, and having an option in the folder menu would be confusing because it would imply per folder application.

OK. Fair enough. Shelve the problem.
As I said, it was initially out of convenience. Thanks for the feedback.

It'll be interesting to see if more folks flag this as useful on a per folder basis (as Lee Jay has, above). If it's popular enough, there's certainly ways to deal with trickiness of having it only apply per folder.

Don't know if it's a big priority, but could be useful. User interfacewise, if it's on a per folder basis, might be good to have a little checkbox or clickable icon next to the foldername so it's clear what's up.
