I work for the Department of Defense and have been looking for a cheaper way for us to print passport photos. I plan to use a 4x6 dyesub printer, and laptop with PhotoShop and actions to crop and print the photos. The problem I am having is finding a camera like a point & shoot that I can put marks on the screen so the face of the person is always the same size that will shoot tethered to the laptop. I use lightroom with my D700 tethered and want to know if there is something I can do to make it work with cameras some point & shoot cameras?

Hi Martin,

I suppose you could fake "tethered" shooting by using a product such as an Eye-Fi card and auto-import into Lightroom via a watched folder.

Thanks for your reply, but this computer will be on a gov't network and wireless is not allowed. Your suggestion is a possible solution if we do not connect it to the network.
