If I use Revel in place of Photoshop.com I need to be able to use hot links to display individual photos within threads in various online forums. I could do this easily with Photoshop.com by doing the following:

I would right click on my image and select "Copy Image Location".

Then go to my forum and insert and image by pasting the copied image location. The image location ended up within [IMG][/IMG] tags within the post.

This was the result.

I'm not seeing how to duplicate this function using Revel. It's what I use Photoshop.com the most to do. Just as with Photoshop.com simply copying the URL directly does not allow this.

Today I decided to upload a photo to Revel in anticipation of the "big move" from Photoshop. I cannot find a way to copy the link to my photo so it can be posted on an online forum. That was easy to do in Photoshop.

Unless this option exists in Revel, I do not want to move all my photos to Revel. I've already agreed to do so but I have changed my mind.

I also have this question.

Don't show me answers on how to "share an album", show me how to create a link to individual pictures. Please!

Hello Thomas,
Currently you can only share albums or full libraries. You could put one image in an album and share the album out to others. If you want to provide a link to an image, that currently is not possible in Revel.
Please see our FAQ "How do I share photos in Revel" http://forums.adobe.com/thread/115799...
Let me know if you have any other questions
Thanks
Scott

Hi Scott,

Thank you for the quick reply, but that means this service is pretty much useless, for me.

Thomas,
Sorry to hear that Revel may not work for you. We realize there are some additional features that you would like to see added that can extend the features of Revel, as we're working diligently to add them to the Adobe Revel experience, including adoberevel.com.
Thanks
Scott

I fully agree with Thomas Haller. I loved Photoshop just for that reason to be able to share a photo in a forum, or in my case, a photo in a daily page of WWII history on my forum. If I had known this service was not to be available in Revel, I would not have had my images moved here. Or is that something that is only available in the paid version of Revel?

I guess my next questions then is how do I remove all my images and folders at once, instead of individually? Then close my account?

The feature to share or publish an individual photos is not available in Revel, free or paid versions. This has been requested and is being reviewed by product management.

Revel is not a replacement for Photoshop.com (it has more of a focus on storing in the cloud and sharing between devices without replicating storage space on each), it is an alternative cloud storage and sharing service that you can choose to use since Photoshop.com sharing and storage is being discontinued. Because it was designed independently, it does not duplicate the features in Photoshop.com. We are, however, planning to add more features moving forward that many Photoshop.com customers desire.

If Revel does not meet your needs, we can delete the files and account for you with your confirmation.

Pattie
