Photoshop: Shake Reduction takes forever..........

I have a new Dell PC that has an i7 9700 CPU and 24gb of RAM.  When i am editing in PS CC, and i use the Shake Reduction option, it takes an age for the file to process?

This was using almost 100% of my CPU, but i have reduced the power settings in Windows to only allow the CPU 99% of power.

This has helped the Shake Reduction process in that it does not use 100% of CPU (and the cooling fan does not run very loudly)

However, there is still the underlying issue with the Shake Reduction Filter - i would expect applying the default settings (which is what i am doing) to take a few seconds, not a few minutes?

This happens with RAW files and with JPEG's too

Is this a know issue or is there some recommended settings in PS CC/Windows to speed this process up

I can only agree, shakereduction takes forever and there nothing you can do about it. I guess Adobe could update it and do the processing on the GPU.
