Photoshop: Losing brushes, actions and settings

I'm now at the end of my tether with photoshop. Each and every time I add a brush or action etc, as soon as I close the program down and later come to start it again, everything is lost and it reverts to factory settings. I have installed everything correctly and still it does it. It does it with all my brushes, all my actions every bloody thing I put on this darned program goes.  I think before Adobe keeps pushing out new versions of photoshop they should pull their bloody fingers out and fix the damned problems. This is happening on two machines. One mac running Mojave and one on a PC running Windows 10. Its getting beyond a joke now and if I could honestly find an alternative now to edit my work I would tell adobe where to stick their subscription. Speaking to lots of people, I find many of us are having the same problems with ZERO help from adobe

You need to save them on your pc before closing and you won't lose them

They are saved on my PC. I go into libraries, I create a library and copy the images from the PC to the library. At the bottom a little rotating icon showing syncing happens and the images are uploaded. But when I close the program down and come back again later to run photoshop, all libraries are gone. They have all synced according to the program..That is the whole of libraries so if you go onto another machine and run photoshop, the images in your library should be available for you. They simply are not... and the brushes fiassco has been going on for four versions of photoshop now and is still not fixed.

What you are saying  is you go into the presets manager and highlight yor files you saved and  "save set" and then store the .abr files, .pat & .asl files on your pc?

not really. Im on about the menu you get when you click on the brush icon in the tools panel. A menu comes up with all the brushes you installed. However, once I close the program down and later come to restart photoshop, any brushes that previously appeared there other than the standard ones have gone and disappeared. I then have to go back into brush manager and reinstall them. They then reappear in the brush menu only to disappear again when the program closes.

The new brushes you load do you highlight them and click on “save set”? And then save the set on your hard drive in a folder? If so, I’m at a loss. Wish I could be of more help.

Can you make a screen recording of your steps? I suspect there is something machine/user/setting specific going on, so we need to figure out what's unique here. If this were happening to all customers, there would be hundreds/thousands of customers complaining about it.

Can you make a screen recording of what you're doing? So far, we can't reproduce it. If we can get steps to consistently reproduce the problem, then we can investigate a fix.

Kenny, I've asked support to reach out to you directly to do a screen share and try and troubleshoot what's going on.
