I have the same problem that many others are experiencing with photoshop not opening after the upgrade on my Mac. So, I uninstalled photoshop as directed, went to the Adobe site, got my serial numbers and when I tried to install the program it said the serial numbers were not valid???? Now what????

Are you installing from a disk? Or from a download?

I see you have a registered copy of Adobe CS5.5. Design Premium. Are you sure you installed the correct product if you installed from an installer you downloaded?

I am installing from a download. I did not uninstall the entire program, only photoshop I was afraid to uninstall the whole thing...I also tried to instal the old version of photoshop that I have, downloaded it to and it said the same thing, serial number not valid. I can't use the disk because the drive on my Mac isn't working.

Are you sure you installed the correct version? Are you sure you're using the correct serial #?

Can you provide a screen shot of the serial # screen with the serial # entered (but use Photoshop to block out all the serial #s except the last four digits).

I tried to install Design Premium. That's what my box says: Adobe Creative Suite, 5.5 Design Premium. I downloaded CS5 Design Premium. I checked the serial numbers six times....both from the website and from the original box it came in. No, I can't use photoshop to do anything since it won't open....I know the serial numbers I am using are correct. I got them right from the website and my original box and have, like I said checked them again and again. I can tell you parts of the serial numbers if you want but I do know they are the right ones.

You need to install Creative Suite Design Premium 5.5. Your serial won't work for 5.

I thought that's what I did download??? On the list it says: CS5 Design Premium. It's the fourth one down on the list. I didn't see another one. Is there another link to other downloads? I would really like to have photoshop back. I'd even take my old version back but that didn't work either....what do I do?

I'm fairly sure that's the one I did download but I'll try it again. I have to take my computer to school to download it so probably won't get to it until tomorrow. It says right now it will take four hours to download and my server will probably time it out before then.
