I have the same problem that many others are experiencing with photoshop not opening after the upgrade on my Mac. So, I uninstalled photoshop as directed, went to the Adobe site, got my serial numbers and when I tried to install the program it said the serial numbers were not valid???? Now what????
I am installing from a download. I did not uninstall the entire program, only photoshop I was afraid to uninstall the whole thing...I also tried to instal the old version of photoshop that I have, downloaded it to and it said the same thing, serial number not valid. I can't use the disk because the drive on my Mac isn't working.
I tried to install Design Premium. That's what my box says: Adobe Creative Suite, 5.5 Design Premium. I downloaded CS5 Design Premium. I checked the serial numbers six times....both from the website and from the original box it came in. No, I can't use photoshop to do anything since it won't open....I know the serial numbers I am using are correct. I got them right from the website and my original box and have, like I said checked them again and again. I can tell you parts of the serial numbers if you want but I do know they are the right ones.
I thought that's what I did download??? On the list it says: CS5 Design Premium. It's the fourth one down on the list. I didn't see another one. Is there another link to other downloads? I would really like to have photoshop back. I'd even take my old version back but that didn't work either....what do I do?
