I'm not sure if this would be called a bug but my photoshop elements won't accept the serial number it came with. It used to, but I had to completely re-boot and wipe my computer and for some reason after re-downloding it it won't take my serial number anymore.

Call Adobe Customer Support - they can verify the serial number and help you reset activation if needed.

Chris, this is a very common complaint. There is absolutely no reason why Adobe can't simplify the activation process when they can design such complex software. This seems to be more about will than way. I have the same problem. Two sessions with your overseas chat support was of no use, so I'm still unable to access my Elements 12 and cannot find a phone number for Adobe tech support. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ok, I had already looked all over the website for that. I'm in the Springfield, MA area. If you can't give me the number, could you at least provide the url to where I can find it?

By the way, I'm not convinced that most complaints are due to piracy, but there's no point in debating that. What I can say is that I have been using Adobe products for a very long time. I started with the very first version of Photoshop Elements and have been upgrading with most releases up to my current 12. I never needed any kind of support until around version 9 or 10. Since then I have only needed it for issues around licensing and activation which have been getting exponentially more cumbersome. So now I'm sitting on a legally purchased but unusable program, while navigating through a byzantine maze called Adobe support just to get someone to flick a switch. Sorry, but Adobe could do better than that if they wanted to.

Anyhow, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Then if you explained the issue, they would have helped you verify your serial number or find your full serial number. Remember that Technical Support and Customer Support are different groups.

Chris, before you refer me or anyone else to that number, you should first call it yourself and see how far you get. We are now officially in Kafka country.
