Sequence of sync'ed collection

When I sync a LR Classic collection and then re-sequence the collection, the sync'ed version on the web does not fully match the new sequence.

Any way to force a re-sequencing in the sync'ed version?

It is the Sort order you have selected for both and or if you had custom ordered on one side that does not carry over to the other side.
Sort order is independent from web to computer.

I had a custom order in the collection before I did the initial sync which synced in the collection sequence, then I changed the collection sort after sync. The sync version re-sequeneced partially.

Changes to a synced collection's custom sort order don't always get updated on the Web.

Go to lightroom.adobe.com and select the collection with the issue. Next go to the Sort Order selector and select 'Capture Date,' which should change the sort order by date. Next go back and select 'Custom Order,' which should update the sort order to match the LR Classic app custom sort order.

NOTE: If you have lightroom.adobe.com or any share link open in your browser changes to the sort order in the LR Classic app will NOT update until you close the browser and reopen the Web app or share link.

Thanks Todd. Didn't know about that sort order feature.

I tried it, and it worked partially. Maybe there is somethingĀ  about the filesĀ  I am syncing that I haven't figured out....

It's working for me using LR 9.2.1 on Windows 10. What version of LR and OS are you using? Have you tried a system reboot? Also try signing out of the Creative Cloud app and then sign back in.

No joy.

But I made a copy of it, and sync'ed the copy, used your CaptureĀ  Date/Custom Order "trick" and they went into the correct sequence.

Maybe it only allows one custom order change on Sundays?????? ;-)

Not re-sequenced properly:

Copied collection (made small name change) and is properly sequenced

I've seen similar strange things with synced collections. Try changing the sort order of one or two pictures in an older collections and see if that's working. If so chalk it up to something in the LR ecosystem updates to Classic, Desktop, and Web) that got "out of sync," no pun intended. At least now you have a fix if it happens again (Check 'Include Selected Photos' in original collection to a new collection).
