Photoshop: Selecting "hidden" tools takes very long - Why?

I bought Photoshop CS5 few months ago. It worked fine until one or two months ago:
From then on everytime that I want to select a tool via right click (so one of the "hidden" tools) it takes very long (like a minute) or sometimes "only" 10 seconds to select it. But it does only work when I click many times in a row. If I don't, it reacts as if I didn't click on anything, so I can move my cursor up and down to select one of those tools again. And again it does only work if I click many times in a row (like crazy).
The performance of the software in all is okay, so I think it's not a hardware problem, but why does it take so long for me to select those hidden tools? What can I do to make it as fast as it's been before? Btw I tried a mouse, it's the same problem. So it's no trackpad (MacBook Pro) problem.

Disable the app "RightZoom", which caused the hang of the submenu tools and crashes Photoshop in 64bit mode: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3064601
