Photoshop: Search a PSD file by layer name

I have a question about searching for photoshop PSD files by layer names.

I used to do it on mac with spotlight, but the layer names are not all inclued any more in metadatas of the PSD files, so I don't find any more my files...

For example, I have to search for all the cars I've done since 5 years, to reuse them in a new illustration, so I want to bea able to search the photoshop file that contain a layer called "car" since 5 years.

I have thousands of PSD files, filled with illustrations I've done since 20 years, and need to find specific objects every days, doing a search by layer name.

Do you know if bridge can do that ?

Can this be a search option that could be add to bridge ?

Many thanks for your help !

Yes, it was a great feature but Photoshop actually doesn't write all Layers names in metadatas. You can see them just with "file info" in finder, and can see that there is about 10% on the layers writen on datas, not even the first ones, I don't understand the logic.

Hi Marie,

Currently this  functionality is not available in Bridge, we have added this requirement in our backlog.

Thanks,
