Photoshop Elements: Scroll bars not appearing and undo history disabled

Hi,
I am trialling this software (elements 10) on my computer, and having problems with scrolling (there are no scroll bars when I zoom into the image. The scroll on my mouse has an effect, however, it usually takes a whole lot of scrolling on the mouse to move the image a slight bit, and, of all things, it scrolls down when it should be up, and up when it should be down... then after some time switches to scrolling the correct way. This is making scrolling almost completely useless.

Also, I am having a lot of trouble with the undo history, as it seems to take some time to complete a task, I am losing track of how many times I've clicked a button to make it work. The interface doesn't show 'working' status very well. To make matters worse, under the window menu, the Undo History (along with most options) is disabled. This has become so difficult to operate that I am forced to try and remember my changes and when I can't get back to the 'undo' point I want, I need to close and re-open the image and redo the changes, and make saves at regular intervals, which is becoming very difficult to trial the rest of the functionality, which looks quite nice.

Thanks,

Hi,
After a couple of days of trialling, somehow this has cleared itself up. I would still like a reply so that I understand why it's now working in case it reverts.
Thanks

Hi Christopher,

Did anything change? Updating the OS and Video drivers was the likely thing to correct this problem.
