How to create custom filter/blending mode? Smart filter usable with smart objects would be ideal.

I looked for Pixel Bender, but does this works with Photoshop CC? Or can I use scripts somehow?  Or maybe Photoshop SDK?

The Photoshop SDK to create a filter plugin would be your best bet. (If you want something distributable)

We have MATLAB integration if you want to mess around with other imaging methods for your own.

Ok, I will try dive into SDK. It seems to be much more diffucult than classic scripting, but also it seems to be more powerfull.

I guess... there are already some filters in samplecode folder which could be handy.

Yeah. It's more daunting (C++).

Btw there is a lot of feature requests and you definitely can't do everything. And Photoshop itself has sometimes too many features.  If Photoshop would be superfriendly for developing plugins and architecture would be optimized for modular approach then comunity could do something awesome from Photoshop. And everybody could have Photoshop according to the wishes.

E.g. Like Sublime Text editor (or Brackets)

Btw congrats to your 11111 post :-D
