I was just told by Adobe chat that CC does not support external drives as scratch disks. CS3 on the same machine does support them, but they do not show up in CC. Well, I have 15 days to cancel.

We support external drives as scratch disks. The one cause if you can't use a drive a scratch disk is you don't have user permissions to write to the drive: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

Well, I have CS3 on the same machine, and it will use the external drive as a scratch drive. CC will show the drive in Bridge and allows me to read/write to it, but it is not listed in the scratch drive selections.
