Photoshop Elements: How do I quickly clean a scene of unwanted elements?

Once again Photoshop makes no sense. Trying to use Scenecleaner to just remove an object. When I choose an image and click on Scenecleaner, it informs me that I must choose 2-10 photos. I only want to use ONE photo. I only want to clean ONE photo.
I've said it before, Photoshop is so frustrating.

Hi Tom,

That's how Scene Cleaner works. It removes unwanted areas from one image by using wanted areas from another image:

Using Photomerge Scene Cleaner

You don't want to use this tool for working with one photo. Instead, you want to use the Spot Healing/cloning tools or layers to remove or move areas within the scene:
