Scan: I want to scan 100 year old photos and intersperse them in my family history written in Word. Entering "Scan" doesn't give me any feedback. I think Best Buy sold me the wrong product.

What product did Best Buy sell you?
What do you mean you "entered scan"?

I bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 9. I'm "challenged" (unable to figure out) how to scan these photos appropriately, then insert into a Word document.

If you are having trouble with Photoshop Elements communicating with your scanner, check out this topic on TWAIN.

However, if you are looking for other tips on scanning, could you be more specific?

I'm afraid it's a bit out of scope to show you how to import your images into a Word document, but I can help you with everything before that.
